School of Business

The primary goal of the School of Business is to offer high quality business programs. Technological changes and globalization of business activities have created tremendous demand for business graduates. These courses and degree programs have been carefully developed to prepare students for successful business careers providing the latest business theories and practices.


School of Computing

Programs offered by the Department of Information Technology prepares students to solve problems and apply new technologies within an increasingly interconnected and changing global environment. Career success is emphasized through lifelong learning and professional development at all levels of the curriculum.


School of Education & Behavioral Sciences

The School of Education and Behavioral Sciences is a dynamic academic hub where faculty, students and our community stakeholders come together to prepare the next generation of scholars, practitioners and professionals. School of Arts & Letters

Middle Georgia State University’s Department of English engages students in exciting coursework with dynamic and highly qualified faculty members, most publishing regularly and all committed to teaching and learning. Through discussion and writing, undergraduate and graduate students alike develop their ability to think critically, communicate persuasively, and support ideas with quality research—all skills in high demand in today’s marketplace.


MGA Online

Offering the flexibility of rolling admissions and fully online certificate, associate, baccalaureate and master level programs composed of 8-week courses, the online campus allows students to earn affordable degrees at their pace and on their schedule.

Cost

Middle Georgia State is one of the nation’s best values in public higher education. Middle Georgia State University Online students, regardless of their state of residency, enjoy the same low flat-rate online tuition for courses leading to undergraduate degrees at only $174 per credit hour + fees.

Middle Georgia State University Online offers several master’s degrees through fully online programs with graduate online tuition at only $261 per credit hour + fees.

Schedule

Courses in MGA Online programs run short, eight-week terms, and are all fully online – schedule your classes around your life!

We recommend that working adults take one or two classes per session, three semesters a year in order to complete your degree as soon as possible.

MGA Direct features 8-week classes

Fall 2024

First 8 Week Session – August 14th
Full semester – August 14th
Second 8 Week Session – October 9th

Spring 2025

First 8 Week Session – January 8th
Full semester – January 8th
Second 8 Week Session – March 5th

No worries – apply now, pay the $30 application fee, and if you’re accepted, you’ll be ready to go when the next term starts. With short, 8-week sessions, the next start date is never too far off. Leverage Your Prior Learning

You may be closer to your degree than you think! With Middle Georgia State, students may leverage prior learning gained through life or work outside of higher educational courses towards degree programs via Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) credits, reducing the repetition of relevant course-related material and the time and money required to earn an undergraduate or graduate degree.

With Middle Georgia State, you can leverage your prior learning. Our prior learning credit options (see below) mean that you may be able to enter with several course credits before you take your first class with us. Depending on your program of choice, you may be able to earn up to 65 hours of credit towards the completion of your associate’s degree or up to 27 hours towards the completion of your bachelor’s degree.

Middle Georgia State also accepts credits from all regional accredited institutions at time of attendance. All other types of accreditation will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. We will automatically accept credit from institutions that are members of one of the following seven regional accrediting agencies:
