Middle Georgia State University’s Graduate Certificate in Technical Writing and Digital Communication focuses instruction on technical writing in print and digital formats and in multimedia communication. This 15-hour program can be taken as a stand-alone credential, and its completion conveniently provides eligibility for the MA in Technical and Professional Writing. The Graduate Certificate program is fully online, offered in convenient 8-week short semesters, and may be completed in an academic year (consisting of Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters).  This interdisciplinary program offers high-impact instruction from accomplished faulty in English, New Media, and Information Technology.  In addition to offering instruction in the craft of technical writing, the program includes topics such as multimedia composition, website development, human computer interaction, instructional design, and publishing across print and digital platforms.  The interdisciplinary nature of the certificate allows graduates to prepare for a variety of professional careers, not only as technical writers, but in IT, instructional design, business, marketing, governments, non-profits, and public relations.
