Your route
With Middle Georgia State, you can leverage your prior learning. Our prior learning credit options (see below) mean that you may be able to enter with several course credits before you take your first class with us. Depending on your program of choice, you may be able to earn up to 65 hours of credit towards the completion of your associate’s degree or up to 27 hours towards the completion of your bachelor’s degree.
You may be closer to your degree than you think – with prior learning credits, you could receive college credit for your prior learning, FAA certifications, or other tests, certifications, or exams. Click here to find out more about prior learning credit.
Example: Students with an A and P license accepted to the Associate of Applied Science in Aviation Maintenance Technology may earn up to 65 hours towards their degree leaving only seven to nine courses (approximately) to take to earn an associate’s degree.
Transfer Credit Policy
Middle Georgia State University will accept credits from institutionally accredited colleges and universities. In limited circumstances credits may be reviewed for acceptance from alternative institutions and will be evaluated on a course by course basis. All students seeking to have credits transferred into Middle Georgia State University must submit official transcripts before an evaluation can be completed. Please note evaluations are completed in the order received by the Office of the Registrar and can take up to two weeks; evaluation of credits from alternative institutions can take thirty days or more. Decisions can be viewed in student’s SWORDS account.

Employees, immediate family members, and contractors of Delta Air Lines may use the following application fee code when applying for undergraduate programs: “Delta1” when prompted.
For graduate studies applicants, please request a paper Graduate Studies application to delta@mga.edu or 478-845-6888 to be sent to you.
Cost
Middle Georgia State is one of the nation’s best values in public higher education. Middle Georgia State University Online students, regardless of their state of residency, enjoy the same low flat-rate online tuition for courses leading to undergraduate degrees at only $174 per credit hour + fees.
MGA Online offers several master’s degrees through fully online programs with graduate online tuition at only $261 per credit hour + fees.

Schedule
Courses in MGA Online programs run short, eight-week terms, and are all fully online – schedule your classes around your life!
We recommend that working adults take one or two classes per session, three semesters a year in order to complete your degree as soon as possible.
